Looking at this photo I can see why these hills are called "painted". This really looks like a painting to me. This photo was taken with my Nikon D7200 and 18-300mm lens.
This year, for the first time ever, Wrights Air lands at the Painted Hills. This day had some unusual cloud formations, that made a spectacular place even more so. This is a HDR photo, shot with my Nikon D500 and 10-24mm lens.
